A hot tub (also called ‘størvatt’) is an outdoor pool in nature, whose water is heated by wood fire. Completely ‘back-to-basics’ in harmony with nature... under a breathtaking (starry) sky. Splitting wood, making a fire and putting cubes of wood on the fire. Perhaps the most natural way to take a lovely hot bath. The hot tub can be used all year round. Every season has its own charm and experience. Only during thunderstorms and severe frost the hot tub cannot be used.

Self-heating

We offer the hot tub ready for use. You only have to heat the water yourself with a fire. The wood-burning stove heats the water and you can regulate the temperature of the water by adding wood. It takes about an hour and a half to heat up the water in the hot tub. Bathrobe, slippers and towels are waiting for you and there is more than enough firewood.

Hygiene

Beforehand, we always empty the hot tub, clean it thoroughly, disinfect it and refill it with fresh tap water. We ask to enter the hot tub wearing swimwear.
